Program Overview
Our UX Design Immersive empowers the next generation of young problem-solvers and start-ups in Los Angeles. With hybrid learning environments, industry mentors, and paid work experience, learners gain future-proof skills and confidence to thrive in digital careers and entrepreneurship.
Program Outcomes
- Demostrated use of strategic methods to gather ccustomer and stakeholder insights and apply them to real world projects.
- Effectively analyzed user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to design viable solutions to business problems.
- Granularly researched, organized and collaborated cross-functionally to manage content and design sustainable structures, tools, and workflows for client projects.
- Intently structured and presented complex information in ways that make sense to customers and stakeholders.
- Ascetically visualized complex concepts and processes through sketches, wireframes, prototypes and presentations.
- Collaboratively worked on cross disciplinary teams of peers, mentors, and vendors in an agile product development environment.
- Facilitated workshops, project stand-ups, iteration planning meetings (IPMs) and group sessions that fostered team work and diverse perspectives toward collective goals.
Cohort Details

College/out of school students (Mon, Wed: 1-3pm)
Combined class: HS Students / All other students (Fri: 4-6pm)
- 6 hours a week for five-weeks.
- 6 creators spilt into two teams.
- 2 vendors, one per team.
Program Structure
A 4-week agile design sprint.
What to Expect
- Sr. Designers teach and lead participants through a 4-week agile design sprint.
- Out of School/Colleges Students: 3 days a week, 2 hours a day. (Mon, Wed, Fri)
- High School Students: 1 days a week, 2 hours a day. (Friday)
- Creators participate in lectures and workshops, while simultaneously working in teams of three on vendor projects.
- Creators develop portfolios, resumes and network.
- Vendors gain valuable insights, streamline workflows, and enhance their product offerings.
Creators
- Must be 16-30 y.o.
- Must commit to the full 5-week training
- Must demonstrate motivation and interest to learn UX design.
- Successfully complete interview process.
Vendors
- Must be a start-up bakery or small local business in Los Angeles.
- Must be able to provide 6 months of bank statements.
- Ability to cover cost of domain and web hosting.
- Agree to share customer, and operations data.
